Us and the Community

AVS has a rich tradition of good corporate citizenship and a reputation of consistent sponsorship and promotion of community development projects in conjunction with the Luwero Kids League (LKL). The partnership with LKL has enabled AVS to contribute to the organization and facilitation of community construction of schools; health centers and other activities have been completed. Education of the young is a key aspect of AVS corporate citizenship philosophy where it donates to school projects through LKL.

Mountain Gorilla

2009 has been declared the Year of the Gorilla (YoG) in order to avoid the extinction of the largest living primate, by the UNEP Convention on Migratory Species (CMS), the UNEP/UNESCO Great Ape Survival Partnership (GRASP) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA). After similar schemes for dolphins and turtles, "the Year of the Gorilla 2009 will place gorillas on a higher pedestal," says John Mshelbwala, U.N. Convention of Migratory Species expert.

Rates
Rates for self-drive vehicles are exclusive of fuel and oil but inclusive of maintenance. All vehicles have manual transmission. There is a daily minimum charge of 100 km on all vehicles. Mileage is calculated from our office and back to our office.

Chauffeurs
Chauffeurs are available between 8:00am to 6:00pm. Driver's allowance is US$ 15.00 per day. Outside these hours driver's allowance will be charged at US$ 10.00 additional to the normal allowance.
Driving License
The client must produce a valid driving license at the time of rental, free from any endorsements and must be over 25 and under 70 years of age and must have held a license for a minimum of 3 years. Other proof of identity must be produced.
Cancellation
Will be charged at 50% of normal rate.
